Expansion Strengthens West Coast Footprint Columbus Vegetable Oils has opened a new packing and distribution facility in North Las Vegas, Nevada, as the family-owned oils manufacturer marks nine decades in business. The rail-served facility increases production capacity to ship millions of pounds of oils annually across the West Coast and will serve food manufacturers, foodservice operators, and retailers.
Product Range and Capabilities The new operation is equipped with state-of-the-art processing technology and will offer conventional, non-GMO, and organic oils including soybean, canola, olive, safflower, avocado, and corn. Columbus Vegetable Oils maintains in-stock inventory of more than 300 oils alongside shortenings, tallow, sauces, dressings, and dips. The company operates SQF-certified facilities and provides custom blending and private label services.
Strategic Focus "Our philosophy has always been simple: We don't sell oil, we sell service," said Paulette Gagliardo, president of Columbus Vegetable Oils. "That service starts with our people and the relationships we've built with our customers and partners over the past 90 years. We're proud to bring that same commitment to Las Vegas – and the entire West Coast." Columbus Vegetable Oils is a fourth-generation, family-operated business and certified woman-owned company. The company operates under brands including Butcher Boy®, Mike's Brand®, Sunrise Shortening®, Nature's Secret®, Sorrento's Olive Oil®, and Soaper's Choice®.
Why It Matters
The Las Vegas facility addresses supply chain logistics on the West Coast, where food manufacturers and foodservice operators have increasingly sought regional sourcing to reduce lead times and transportation costs. For operators in Nevada, California, Arizona, and surrounding states, the new hub promises faster delivery and competitive pricing on a broad portfolio of oils and specialty fats.
