July Activation and Resources Coast is rolling out multiple initiatives throughout July, including its 13 Days of Tallow series, an annual Beef Tallow French Fries Contest, recipes, and grilling tips. The company's TasteMap directory highlights restaurants already cooking with beef tallow and lard. Why It Matters for Operators Beef tallow is rendered fat from cattle—often sourced from parts otherwise discarded—making it a sustainable ingredient choice. It contains no artificial ingredients and is rich in vitamins A, D, E, and K. After restaurant use, beef tallow can be recycled into renewable fuel. A recent Coast consumer survey found that cooking oil plays a meaningful role in where Americans choose to eat, underscoring operator interest in ingredient transparency and quality.
